Understanding Ask Zulie
Ask Zulie is SparrowCRM’s native AI assistant that finds information and performs tasks in response to your prompts.
Conversational intelligence: Interact with Ask Zulie using a familiar chat interface similar to popular Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.
Data scope: Ask Zulie answers your questions with information surfaced from your CRM data. Its data sources are as follows:
- Contacts — names, details, activity history, engagement signals
- Companies — company records and associated data
- Deals — pipeline, stages, values, deal health
- Calls — call logs, recordings, transcripts, outcomes
- Meetings — meeting records, summaries, transcripts
- Emails — email activity logged against contacts and deals
- Tasks — assigned and completed tasks across records
- Notes — notes linked to contacts, deals, and calls
Note: Ask Zulie only draws from data you have access to in SparrowCRM.
Generative UI: In addition to responding with text, it renders interactive components — forms, charts, email editors, and deal updates — directly in the chat, so you can take action without leaving the conversation.
LLMs: You can choose the models powering Ask Zulie’s answers to get the desired results.

Access Ask Zulie
You can access Ask Sparrow from two places in SparrowCRM:
- Home page: Use the chat box at the top of your home page.
- Sidebar: Open a past conversation under Chats, or click + to start a new one.

Get familiar with the Ask Sparrow chat layout, controls, and response options.
Chat controls
In the Ask Sparrow chat, you can:
- Type your message in the composer and press Enter or click the send button to submit it.
- @mention contacts, companies, deals, or other records in your message to give Ask Sparrow direct context.
- Open previous conversations from the Chats section in the sidebar, or click + to start a new one.
- Copy a response by clicking the copy icon beneath it.
- Share feedback using the thumbs up or thumbs down buttons to help improve Ask Sparrow.
- The model for generating the response will be auto chosen. You also have the option to choose it before sending your response to Ask Zulie.
Working with Ask Zulie
Here’s a comprehensive list of the actions you can perform with Ask Zulie.
Note: Actions involving team data such as viewing another rep's pipeline, comparing rep performance, or accessing team-level analytics are available to managers only.
Create and update records
Ask Zulie can create new contacts, companies, and deals, or make updates to specified records records. All changes are shown inline for your review before anything is applied.
Example prompts:
- "Create a contact for Riya Mehta at TechFlow"
- "Add a new deal for Acme Corp worth ₹10L in the Enterprise pipeline"
- "Update this contact's job title to Head of Procurement"
- "Suggest updates to this deal based on our last call"
- "Show me all deals logged by my team this week”
Draft and send emails
Ask Zulie can display specific email threads inline. You can type and send emails from here or have Ask Zulie draft it. The email whether drafted by you or Ask Zulie will be sent only after your confirmation.

Manage tasks
Ask Zulie can create new tasks — standalone or linked to a record — and carry out updates on existing ones. Note that task assignment cannot be changed through Ask Zulie.

Work with meetings
Ask Zulie can retrieve meeting details, generate prep briefs, email meeting summaries, and create or reschedule meetings.

Ask questions to build charts and dashboards
Ask questions about any object or module in plain language — contacts, deals, calls, meetings, tasks, and more — and get charts rendered directly in the chat. Supports bar, line, pie, and funnel chart types.
- Add a generated chart to an existing dashboard using the dashboard picker.
- Create a new dashboard from a chart and name it on the spot.

- "Which contacts haven't been reached out to in 30 days?"

Create and view notes
Ask Zulie can create notes linked to any record, meeting, or call, and retrieve existing ones inline without leaving the chat. All the notes require your review before being saved. Nothing is created/modified without your confirmation.
- Create a note — Ask Sparrow opens an inline note editor. The note is automatically linked to the relevant record, meeting, or call.
- View notes — Ask Sparrow retrieves and displays notes for any record, meeting, or call directly in the chat.

Create and manage lists
Ask Sparrow can create new lists from search results or specific records, and add records to existing lists.
- Create a list — Ask Sparrow creates a new list and populates it with records from your search results or ones you specify. If the list doesn't exist yet, it's created automatically.
- Add to an existing list — Ask Sparrow surfaces a list picker inline so you can choose which list to add the records to.

Enroll contacts in sequences
Ask Sparrow can enroll contacts into sequences and check how your sequences are performing — directly from the chat.
- Enroll contacts — Mention a contact's email in the chat and Ask Sparrow enrolls them into the sequence. You'll see a success or failure confirmation inline for each contact.
- View sequence status — Ask Sparrow returns a readout of enrolled count, step distribution, and open and reply rates for any sequence. Read-only.
